Is this a meal kit?
Our meals are fully prepared, perfectly portioned, and ready to eat. You can eat hot or cold, each meal will have specific reheating directions.
Does the menu change?
Every two weeks on Monday a new menu will be available, while keeping some favorites on the menu.
How do I register an account?
Easy peasy lemon squeezey! Create an account and confirm it through your email (check your spam folder just incase it doesn’t show up in your main inbox)
I can’t log into my Account!
With 512 passwords with the one number, one punctuation, and a sample of your blood, it could be possible that you just need to reset it. Another reason could be that you didn’t confirm your account through the link sent to your email.
Can meals be frozen?
Yes, some meals freeze really well, but use your judgment when it comes to what you think you should freeze. For instance, Sloppy Joe Bowls and Chicken Tinga would freeze and reheat really well, but salads are not recommended.
How many days are the meals good for?
It’s best to enjoy meals 4-5 days of them being delivered and be sure to double check the label on the meal as a “Best Before Date” will be on there as well. We also recommend consuming any seafood meals & salads first.
Is there a minimum order required?
A minimum of 3 meals is required to receive delivery.

Hotmail has ongoing issues accepting email from many websites and services. Please check your spam folders and add Back To Basic Eats as a 'safe sender' so that Hotmail knows my emails are legitimate.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to Kamloops, Sun Peaks and surrounding areas.
When do you deliver?
Monday’s between 3:00pm- 6:00pm *may vary due to weather and road conditions
What is the order deadline?
Wednesday at 12:00am, please note your order has not processed unless you receive an email confirmation.
Where can I receive a delivery?
We deliver anywhere with a physical address-home or business as long as we have the proper details and directions on your order. These notes can be added when you place your order to ensure drivers know where to leave you meals. We do not deliver to PO Boxes.
Do I have to be present for my delivery?
At this time we ask that there is someone available to accept delivery on your behalf or you are present.
Can I pick up my order?
While we thrive on personal connection, due to space and timelines it’s currently not an option, we do hope one day to have a pick up location…or few.
Can I return my packaging?
Due to standards and guidelines set out by governing bodies, we are unable to accept and reuse containers or bags. However, we do encourage you and yours to reuse and recycle as often as possible within your home.
What are the portions?
Each meal is an individual server for one person. Our meals typically have 4 oz. protein, 1-2 tablespoon of healthy fat and a generous helping of vegetables.
Do you cater to specialty diets or those with food restrictions or allergies?
As of right now our meals are Paleo based which means: eating nutrient-dense foods such as a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, locally sourced meat, and avoiding sugar unless it’s in a natural state. We make most of the sauces & dressing from scratch. Our meals don’t contain legumes, sugar, wheat, grain and dairy.
Will nutritional facts be posted?
This is a tricky topic as the meals that Back to Basic Eats will be creating are to make eating nutrient-dense meals easier for those who want more convenience with their schedules and we want to make our meals approachable for everyone. With that being said, all meals will include a list of the ingredients used in the meal, and there will not being any nutritional facts listed anywhere.
The menu says “SOLD OUT” is that true?
As these meals are small batch we do not want to jeopardize the quality of these meals and will only be making 100 meals per week.
What happens if I somehow order a meal that is out of stock?
Carts are only valid for 60 minutes to help stop stock confusion. If you run into an issue with meals being out of stock during your order process, I'll work directly with you to resolve the issue
